The EH216-S unmanned air taxi made its first flight in Bangkok

The Chinese EH216-S drone manufactured by EHang has entered the Thai market, where commercial flights will soon begin.

Commercial operation of the air taxi is planned to begin in Phuket and Samui next year. In the meantime, the Chinese company has arranged demonstration flights for residents of the capital of Thailand at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center.

The EH216-S is an octocopter with a capsule cabin that can carry two passengers weighing up to 220 kg at low altitude. It is on the road for no more than 20 minutes, during which time it covers 35 km.
