Denza will increase the range of the D9 minivan
Recall that this technology is already used, but only by the main BYD brand. Now it will be distributed in Denza cars, or more precisely, in the D9 minivan. With the fifth-generation hybrid technology, the combined range should increase, and fuel efficiency should improve.
It is already known that the updated and improved D9 will have both an all-wheel drive and a front-wheel drive version. They will use a 272 hp engine on the front axle, and the all-wheel drive implies the presence of an additional engine with 61 hp on the rear.
In addition, the car is equipped with a Blade lithium-iron-phosphate battery from BYD's subsidiary FinDreams. The 2024 Denza D9 versions have a 20 kWh or 40 kWh battery, and it is likely that the DM 5.0 version will receive similar batteries.
The dimensions of the minivan vary slightly depending on the version, but are approximately 5250 x 1960 x 1900 mm, and the wheelbase is 3110 mm. The car is designed for 7 people, including the driver. The maximum speed of the minivan reaches 190 km / h. The updated D9 will be equipped with a high level of driver assistance.
The D9 minivan with BYD's fifth-generation hybrid technology is expected to go on sale in the next few months, and possibly even before the end of 2024.
