Up for sale is one of my husbands toys. This is a 1940 Ford Deluxe Coupe. He has too many projects and we want to get a mini motorhome.Think of this car is a canvas that already has the base coat on it. A lot of the work has already been done for you.

Where there was rust it has been replace with new patch panels( I understand they have been butt welded, sounds painful). The car has sat for a year and a half now while he works on something else. All the dust that is on every surface is your's for free. The body is ready for you to get creative.Now for the details...I know that most car people look negative at a car that is in pieces, but they don't know my husband. He labels almost everything. If it is not obvious what it is or where it goes he tags it or puts it in a box with a label of the contents.There is a brand new radiator that has never been out of the box. The box with brand new running boards has been in my sewing room to many years now. They have only been out of the box long enough to check fit on the body. The running boards are from Dennis Carpenter. There are numerous other parts from Dennis Carpenter. You can see in the pictures that there is a new trunk handle (vintique brand), new tail lights, new stainless for the dash. There are too many parts to mention them all. All the garnish moldings are included. All the top bows are in good shape and in place in the body. The stainless body trim is all there and needs a good polishing.This is a frame off restoration. All the body except the hood was stripped to bare metal and is now covered in epoxy primer.The engine is a 1968 Chevy 327 with camel hump heads. The person he bought the engine from said it is in good shape but my husband has never tried to run it. The transmission is a turbo 400 the rear end is a 9" Ford. The engine, transmission, and rear all use Chassis Engineering mounts. The rear springs are new Chassis Engineering units. Currently there are blocks lowering the rear an extra 1.5". The front end is a Mustang 2 style with tubular arms, 2" dropped spindles, power rack steering, and has a sway bar. The front cross member is Heits. There is a power brake master cylinder pedal assembly bolted into the original location. There are bumpers that need plating with their brackets and a gas tank that looks really crude but it did not leak. I am sure I am missing some stuff here but hopefully the pictures tell the story.

Or you will need to pick up the car. The car is "as is, where is" and will be for sale locally so the auction could end at any time.
Why am we selling? We want to use the money toward a mini motorhome. Please buy this car or that big box with the running boards will go back to taking up space in my sewing room.
