I believe this bike to be a mix of things, some 1948 some not. I will leave it to the experts to tell me. I believe it has a wishbone frame and I was told the tank and front forks (inline) are original. The engine number lists 48EL1721 but the number itself is messed up. I have title (Boston) that states 48EL1721. I have not registered it in California.
All I do know is when I purchased the bike 3-4 years ago, I brought it Yoshi at Garage Company in Los Angeles. I spent about 4-5K for them to go through it (have receipts), and as a result and it starts, stops and runs like a top. Fluids are changed regularly. I ride about 2 x a week for a couple hours. Its super fun to ride. Afterwards, there are a few drops of oil on the ground.
I have some videos of me starting it after the usual choke, retard, kick sequence.
The 1947 CA License Plate can be negotiated separately. I reserve the right to end this listing as this bike is for sale in other places.
