This restored beauty is in excellent condition. Total of 90,862 miles
Engine, clutch, transmission, and overdrive recently overhauled (1100 miles ago).Suspension completely replaced.All new Coker Classic extra wide white-wall radial tires with wheel covers.The gas tank and radiator, with coolant overflow reservoir, have been replaced.The power top is in working order.The radio, clock and cigar lighter are present but are non-functional.Total history of the car from date of assembly to present is available with pictures of the two former owners.The present owner is the car's third owner.The photos of the car give an accurate picture of the car's beauty and condition.HISTORY OF THIS 1949 FORD CONVERTIBLE:
The car was assembled at the Chester Assembly Plant in Chester, PA on Sept. 23,1949.It was the 226th car off the line that day.It was originally purchased by a physician, who used it as his daily driver for 25 years. During that time he had the car repainted original color (Fez Red), redid the upholstery, and replaced the engine with a Mercury V-8 (110 hp).His nephew (a retired Judge from Pittsburgh, PA), later bought it from his uncle. The nephew borrowed $5,000 from his parents to buy it. The judge used the car on his honeymoon andkept it for 40 years until he placed it with a consignment dealership(Joe's Old Cars in Chittenango, NY---Owned by Joe Caputo) in 2014.Seller bought it in Nov. 2015.The engine, transmission, overdrive were restored in 2[hidden information]. The springs and shockswere also replaced.

Some smaller items were restored by the seller. Additionally,Brando Pistorius (PistoriusCollectable Autos - Antique & Classic Car Sales and Restoration Service) has done extensive restoration work preparing the car for sale.
The seller wishes that whoever purchases this beauty will enjoy it as much as he did. The car is an exact duplicate of his very 1st car he purchased when he was 19 years old. Many great memories had and rememberedafter he purchased this car.
