Seller description

This is my 1949 Panhead that I went through a few years ago. Engine started out as a 61cid EL then stroked to 84cid w/STD Heads, S&Super E carb, solid lifters and stroker plates under the jugs(was told this was old school). This was how I got it. I didn't do the work. I disassembled the bike sanded and painted black all required parts like the original frame, tanks , fenders(front fender is Shovelhead). The neck had been raked at one time but returned to stock. Replaced the primary chain with a new BDL belt drive kit. When I say new I mean new = 5 years old with no miles not I just bought it. New Corbin Gentry seat, exhaust, tires, forks, horn, clutch, handle bars with Midwest internal throttle installed, wiring harness, taillight, front fender trim, headlight. I cleaned & relined both tanks with EvapoRust and POR15 tank sealer. Rebuilt the Super E carb. Was already converted to 12V with Cycle Electric generator. Sorry but no saddle bags. I plan on using then in my 1935 Ford 5W but if the price is right away they go. I'll update when I remember more. Bike runs good. Ain't so easy to kick but I'd think those familiar with this breed know how better than I. Was told this is common with strokers. Belly pan numbers are a pair of matching 1951 replacements. The info I got from the previous owner and others who have knowledge in these matters is that if the cases had to be replaced (warranty or otherwise) they were replaced with cases off the shelf that year. 51 stamped cases mean they were replaced in 1951 or 1952. I post this because this is the most common question asked so I'm hoping to save myself some typing. What the bike needs is someone knowledgeable to go through it. I'm a car guy not a bike guy. I'm a good mechanic but this is my first bike/last and I'm good enough to know what I don't know. I know it's not likely that I'd drive an old car a first timer rebuilt years back without going through everything to make sure all is right. I left the rust as it is, whitewalls dirty ect. so the pics will show you just what you're getting. Didn't want to clean it up for pics and seem deceptive. I don't like drama. I'd prefer you see it at it's worst. It ain't bad but it does need a good cleaning and attention. It looks better than the pics show. The last pics are of how it looked when I first finished it.What it needs. It needs a thorough going over by someone much more knowledgeable than I. Needs new fuel caps, battery, fuel rod banjo seals, front brake rod, new forks leak at bottom stud. All chrome needs cleaning. Bar risers need to be replaced/painted as chrome is gone. wheels/spokes and nuts need to be rechromed/painted/powder coated. I'm sure there's more. This is a rider's bike not a restoration candidate so if that's what you seek your journey will continue. Feel free to ask questions or for any additional pics. Bike is sold as is, where is. No test rides. No trades for bikes, boats, airplanes, DJ equipment, children small or large, wives of any age or displacement. I prefer money. I do have interest in a decent 1964 Mercury Marauder, 1963/1967 Ford Galaxie HT, 1964 Lincoln Continental, 1971-72 Mach1 , 1[hidden information] Pontiac Grand Prix, 1966 Old Toronado, 1967 Eldorado not because I need one or even have the space but because I like cars more than bikes and want to have owned as many as I can before I'm gone. Send me some pics and info and I'll let you know if I'm interested. If I cant get a good offer I'll pull it apart, repaint the frame, paint the tank, fenders to match my 1935 Ford 5W, powder coat the wheels, clean/replace chrome so it'll look as good as it did the day I finished it and I'll store it in my dry warm basement. I'll let my widow and children deal with getting it out. I love the look of this bike. It's pure class, style, muscle and dead sexy.NO TEST RIDES OR TIRE KICKERS. IF YOU'RE A SERIOUS BUYER A VIEWING MIGHT BE POSSIBLE. After auction you can inspect the bike. If you find any major concerns we can cancel the deal. Best way to pay is if you have and bank account with a branch near me we go there where you get cash or cashiers check and I'll sign over the bike to you on the spot. Other than that we can do something with toilet paper, paper towels or hand sanitizer. I don't waste peoples time and dislike when people waste mine. Emails/texts are one thing but waiting for someone to show and they don't sucks. That's the reason I'm not listing on Craigslist. Please don't be that guy. My worse case scenario is I keep it in my collection with my hot rods. I AM ABSOLUTELY NOT INTERESTED IN DELIVERING but then again cash is king. You'll need to make your own arrangements but I'll work with you .Ask any and all questions before bidding. Thanks for lookingGod BlessLeon
