Seller Description

This 1953 FL Panhead is
an authentic, vintage, Harley Davidson Bobber/Chopper (not technically a
chopper in my opinion as the neck has not been raked..though it has been "windowed) It also has many
period correct "chopper era" parts***Please read Item Condition***
as this contains many other specifics about this bike. Pictures are part of
item description. Let me know if you need to see anything
specifically.PayPal for deposit ONLY ....CASH or bank
transfer for balance....Clean and clear transferableRegistration in my
name. NY does not re-title pre-'70 vehicles. (I had the
original title when I bought this bike and had to give it to NYS DMV to put it
on the road...this acts JUST THE SAME AS A TITLE.) NO funny business with me.
With that said, please look into exactly what you will need in YOUR STATE to
register this motorcycle.

If for any reason you are not comfortable, please do
not bid. To my understanding a transferable registration and bill of sale has
always worked for me and people I have sold to in many states. The pictures you see are taken
at various points,(I wanted to show the bike before it was finished) but the information and pictures where it looks best are how
the bike appears now and are included for you to view as part of this
description.
I have several
Choppers and motorcycles and have to sell some of my collection for financial
reasons. I have been riding this bike very little but l just started and rode
this bike two days ago. I have owed this bike for 3-4 years and have put
a lot of time and money into it. With that said, it is a67 year
old bike and will require maintenance. I always want to be honest and I
would never intentionally mislead a seller. So please don't buy this bike
and think you are going to ride cross country to Born Free without going
through it completely. Lastly I will be available if you choose to use a shipping company but I will not arrange for shipping. That will be the buyers responsibility. Again, read my 100% positive feedback and bid with confidence. I have sold many high end and high priced vintage guitars an musical equipment and have been with ebay for 13 years!!!!!This bike does leak some oil in the primary area and sumps if you don't ride it regularly. With that said it runs and starts up quite easily. When I bought this bike it was misrepresented as a "daily rider" when in fact was a barn find with compression. I brought the bike to a friend at 1945 Speed Shop (they are know for participating inTROGand work on vintage vehicles ONLY) where they replaced the coil, put on a new intake manifold and welded a tab to attach the axe gas tank etc....$1500-$2000 dollars later I went on to rebuild them-74b linkert carb, put in a new battery, rear tire....etc...(see condition) and I had a nice running1953 Panhead. (manual advance, suicide clutch/jockey shift) With that said, I really wanted to change out the rear disc brake (even though it works well) back to a mechanical brake for looks and have the top end done, but I have too many bike right now. There is no front brake on an old Paughco springer.
Some of the pictures are from when I completed this bike it was accepted intoNOTT(Night of the Troglodytes) Chopper show!!!! This is an amazing show for builders and chopper enthusiasts which takes place at night at the start of TROG (The Race of Gentlemen)So, Please read my 100% feedback selling and buying vintage guitars and musicalequipment in addition to motorcycles and motorcycle parts and ask questions. If you bid and win this bike I except payment. I will send or attach a link to show the bike running and perhaps a brief video of me riding it earlier in the summer. If you need other pictures, please ask. Good Luck bidding!!!
