Seller Description

1954 FORD C600 COE TRUCK
This COE has a solid body for your project. Very little rust but it does have a little. These trucks look nice with stepside boxes from the era. Used boxes are available but reproduction box parts are available to build a new box to your desired dimensions. Box sides, fenders, tailgates, wood floors, etc. are all available to build a box. There are endless ways to build these trucks and thousands of pics online for inspiration. They look cool just about anyway they're built. Thanks and happy bidding. I have sent in to get a new title in my name and I'll have it back any day. Clear title will be sent priority mail after the payment is received.
NOTE: I can shorten the frame about 7 feet for transport if you'd like. I know many buyers will not be using this drivetrain. It may not make much difference for interstate transport but it will help with overseas transport. I can shorten it for no extra cost. If you want it shortened and still driving, I'll have to charge a little extra for shortening the driveshaft.
MECHANICAL
This truck has what most likely is the original y-block V8.The truck runs good and doesn't smoke. It has good oil pressure. Runs cool and has no knocks. Good oil pressure I believe. I know most people will use a different drivetrain but the motor is usable. 4-speed manual with 2-speed auxillary transmission and 2-speed rearend also. Clutch, transmission, and auxiliary transmission (transfer case) work as they should. The vacuum is disconnected from the rearend so I didn't test that. The parking brake works fine for lot driving.
BODY
The body is a solid one to build. Not much rust. I'll detail the rust: It has rust on the front edge of the hood skin. Both rear cab corners need a little rust repair down low. One step on each side has minor rust. The floors have no rust. The doors and fenders have no rust. Floor supports and front cab mounts are fine. No rust in the roof, driprails, or firewall. No structural rust and the rust it has is pretty easy to repair, even for a novice. Replacement cab corners are readily available and cheap. The truck has been painted before and there is some filler in spots. No rust hiding under the filler. The filler was used because the painter clearly was not very skilled at bodywork or dent repair.

Doors shut and latch. Hood opens too but the latches are gone. I'm sure there are many ways to set it up including a remote hood popper. I'll double check but I think the windshield is in good shape. At least on side window is cracked. These are cheap and easy to replace and are sold pre-cut.
INTERIOR
There is not much in the way of interior in these. The seats are out of a 1970's chevy van. The drivers seat is just mounted temporarily for shipping. The seats fit nicely in this truck and for sure would work if you go that route. The seat needs recovered but the springs feel fine. Dash is in good shape. Not all hacked up. Gauge area all looks good and original. I believe the visors are in it. Headliner is gone. They are cheap for new ones. The pics tell the story.
OVERALL
This is an excellent truck to start with for a restoration. As described before, the body is good for a project or use as-is. If you've seen a restored or rodded COE, you know how cool they are. Many people put them on newer chassis, which is the best way to build them in my opinion.
This old truck is sold as-is. Thanks and happy bidding
