Up for auction isthe iconic1958 Chevrolet Impala two door hardtop collector car.The car has a good Wisconsin title.From the engine casting and ID numbers, the engine appears to be a 1969 350 cu. in. V-8 with a 4 barrel carburetor. It has a GM automatic transmission with a floor shifter. The car does not have power steering or power brakes. The right front upper control arm mounthas been welded(see picture) and the frame has a slight bend. The car runs and drives well. This is a very solid body, original body panel car. I've included a few underbody pictures but we have more if you're interested. The car waspainted within the last 10 years and the paint looks very good. Both bumpers have been re-chromed and the stainless trim is in very good condition. The rest of a the chrome trimhas pitting. The front and back glass is in very good condition. The side glass is starting to delaminate around the edges and the passenger door glass is cracked. The interior was redone and is in good condition. The seats are not original style but they are notwore through or torn. Headlights are working but turn signals are not. Speedometer and fuel gage are working. There were some aftermarket gauges added but only oil temperature and oil pressure are working. Heater is not hooked up so we're not sure of the condition. The blower fan is not working. There is not a radio in the car and the ash tray is missing.

There are a bunch of parts in the trunk - extra trim, radio, etc. that go with the car.I've tried to represent this car accurately but please look at the pictures, call or email your questions, or come and look at the car in person. The 1958's are great collector cars and the body on this car is very good. You could basically enjoy this car as is or with a little TLC this could be a great classic.
