Seller Description

Wife wants a motorhome. I bought this beauty in 2005 when it
was one family owned and showing 50,177 miles that the seller believed to be
true. It is optioned with 327 300,
Muncie 4 speed, 3.36 rear differential, radio delete, hard top and soft top and
came from the factory Nassau Blue with black interior. The father from the one-family owner ordered
it early ’66 for $3,400 and when it was built, he drove back to the plant,
picked it up and drove it home (it saved him ($1,000) according to the notes). It was in Oregon all of its life before I
purchased it and drove it to California.
Like most cars from Oregon, there were no rust out problems, only very
light surface rust. He owned the car
until 1979 when he passed away and at that time the daughter purchased it from
the step-mom. I have a lot of paperwork
back to 1980 including the Bill of Sale., receipts, and a lot of notes about
the history of the car. I also have the
original owner’s manual.

The car sat a
lot the 20 years before I bought it and clocked only 2,000 miles before that
time, and less than 2,000 during the 15 years that I’ve owned it (51,844 now). A lot of maintenance has been done
to the car including stainless calipers and a single-stage repaint.
The car runs great (recently tuned), drives, shifts, rides, steers,
and stops extremely well. The body is
very nice and has had a small repair done to the right front fender
corner. It has the original bumpers, grill,
door handles, hubcaps. hard top and all of the glass. The interior has the original door panels and
dash pads. Perfect steering wheel, vent
wing posts (very nice), shifter (super nice chrome), and the carpet and seat covers were replaced. New white convertible soft top
was recently professionally installed.
This car is solid!
The frame, suspension and bird cage are very nice, and as I said; NO rust. The motor, transmission, bellhousing,
differential, exhaust manifolds, alternator, recovery tank, distributor, intake
manifold, air cleaner, ballast resistor, fan, horn relay, radiator hose and
more are original to the car. The carburetor is numbers matching. (I
have the original brake master cylinder that didn’t need to be replaced.)
Now for the numbers: Block
[hidden information] cast G 29 5 date, [hidden information] & F0211 HE stamp pad, VIN and production
stamp are perfect!! The car build date
is G10 = Feb. 10th.
Transmission, [hidden information] VIN, [hidden information] case, [hidden information] tailshaft housing
& [hidden information] cover. Differential-AK
code 3 36, 2 9 66 stamp & 1 27 5 cast date.
Bellhousing- [hidden information], RH exhaust manifold- [hidden information], LH exhaust manifold
[hidden information]. The windshield code is AJ,
passenger glass NA and vent wing is AJ, driver’s glass YJ and driver’s vent YJ,
hard top AS4 AF and are all original to the car. Side mirrors 12-DMI-1. If you look in a NCRS judging book you will
find that all of the numbers are what they should be.
Please do not assume anything. This is still an old car. The car is being sold “as is.” As for the mileage and numbers, I am going by what the paper
work I received with the car and the honest opinion from the seller is that
“there is no way that this car could have 150,000 miles!!” Professional
inspection is highly recommended before bidding/purchase.I may assist with domestic or international shipment.Trade for a 2020 Mercedes C-class motorhome
is an option. [hidden information], John
