This is a rust free example of the rare 1966 A-Code car. A-Code indicates that it’s a factory upgrade 225 HP 4 barrel engine and was also usedon the Mustang GT. The interior has been completely replaced including seat covers, carpet and dash pad with a new pony interior. The floorboards and trunk have absolutely no rust – We have videos of the car without the interior to show the zero rust condition.

There isevidenceof body filler on the panel between the tail lights and some of the chrome trim has pitting typical of the age of this car.It does have four brand new radial TA tires packaged with blacked out magnum 500s. The tires and interior were new and completed last month (January2021). We purchased the car from the second owner; he indicates the 126,000 miles are original (documented), includes the original black California license plates, and the car has been stored 30 plus years in a dry desert climate. We did a complete tuneup,professional carburetor rebuild, fuel tank removal/clean, fuel pump and engine paint detailpriorto starting the car. The factory original 289 4 barrel seems to run well, but was leaking water from the freeze plugs below the exhaustmanifolds. At this point, our interest has shifted to another project so it’s time to part with this rare A-Code 66 Mustang Coupe.
