| : | “Every attempt has been made to keep this car as original as possible. While it now has 123,300 miles, virtually every mechanical component has been rebuilt within the last 20,000 miles. This includes the motor, transmission, brakes, suspension, steering, exhaust, radiator, heater core, distributor and carburetor. Even the clock works. It has been repainted with the "correct" Wimbledon white acrylic lacquer, and the vinyl top has been replaced with the "correct" pattern and width material. The body was stripped to bare metal before painting, and other than a few small dents, there was no sign of prior body work. Except for new carpets, front seat foam, and door panels, the interior is all original. According to the previous owner, the car was rarely out of California, so the under-carriage is absolutely free of rust. It has a 390 cubic inch motor and C6 three speed automatic transmission. Except for the Covid crisis, I would not hesitate to take it on a long road trip tomorrow.” |
