1967 CAMARO CONVERTIBLE 396 RS/SS PACE CAR
Offered for your consideration is a 1967 396
BIG BLOCK Camaro convertible.
This
vehicle is a rare model. It is a first year Camaro sporting a 396 big block with
an automatic transmission with bucket seats and a column shifter. The car was
ordered and delivered to an Indianapolis area dealership on May 2, 1967 just 4 weeks
before the Indy 500 race. It is believed to be a “Blue Topper” brass hat
executive driven pace car. I can not verify that it is a pace car with 100%
certainty and therefore, I am presenting it as just a regular Big
Block Camaro convertible.
Please
note that the car is considered a project car which is about 90% complete.
The motor is a NOM freshly rebuilt 396 big block Chevy. The automatic
transmission is also freshly rebuilt. This project car needs final assembly and
some finishing touches - a minor repair to the interior to be complete. The
motor and transmission were removed in order to be rebuilt. They need to be
mated together and re-installed. Also, the exhaust needs to be re-installed.
The passenger door has a molding that needs a minor repair or replacement. Finally,
the pace car door decals need to be installed and they come with the car.
During
the time that I have owned the car, we have found and installed the correct
hood with the chrome inlets. I have sourced the correct pace car hubcaps and
also the correct part number carburetor. The car comes with 5 red-line tires
mounted on Chevy rally rims. If you’re a purist, you will note a couple of
inconsistencies as far as the pace car look. The red-line tires that come with
the car are double red-lines but they should be single red-lines. The nose
stripe is currently blue but it should be black.
The
car is a nice representation of the pace car convertible and it’s a first year,
first generation Camaro BIG BLOCK convertible. We are still working on the car
and we may have it completed soon. This auction is for the car in its
present condition at 90% completion. If we finish the car soon then that’s a
bonus for you.

I took time to carefully describe the car and include a substantial number of
photos. However, it is very important to keep in mind that this vehicle is 53
years old. After carefully reading the entire description, rather than making a
potentially incorrect assumption, if any statement or comment is unclear, or if
you have questions, please e-mail or call me prior to bidding. I reserve the
right to sell this vehicle locally prior to the end of any advertisement or
listing.
AT CLOSE OF AUCTION
The successful "winning" bidder must telephone me at [hidden information]
within 24 hours after the auction has ended to verify purchase and make
arrangements to complete the transaction. $1,000.

00 NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT is
due within 48 Hours of auction end. Full payment must be received within 7
business days of the end of auction. Payment must made by bank wire transfer only. If the funds are not received, and an
alternate arrangement has not been made, the vehicle can and will be made
available to other potential buyers on a first-come, first-serve basis. The
parties agree that this contract shall be construed under the substantive laws
of the Province of Ontario, Canada, that the Provincial Court of Ontario,
Canada shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any action brought to enforce the
terms of this contract or over any action arising out of the underlying
transaction(s) with seller and venue may be had in the Ontario Superior Court
of the Province of Ontario.
I have disclosed as much information as possible about this vehicle. However, I
recommend that all buyers conduct an inspection either in person or through a
qualified professional third party inspector prior to the end of the auction.
If such inspection reveals a substantial discrepancy between the information
contained in the listing and the actual vehicle, we will correct the problem or
work out a compromise.
I will assist with shipping arrangements however, the buyer pays all shipping
costs. I do not have any affiliation with, or interest in, any transportation
companies and all questions or concerns should be addressed directly with
them.
