Used 1968 Jaguar 420 Compact Saloon

The Jaguar 420 was introduced at the London Motor show in October 1966, it was produced for 2 years and was superseded by the all new Jaguar XJ6 in late 1968. Just over 10,000 were built. This particular example was Sold by Brysons SA in 1968 and first came to my attention in 2011 when it was traded on one of my Jaguars. It made the road trip to Melbourne without missing a beat from South Australia and was then sold to a buyer from Sydney who flew down and drove her home. Still in its original unrestored condition this matching numbers 420 is in excellent order inside and out. The car mechanically has been totally refreshed, every consumable replaced (bushes, hoses, rubbers etc) the auto trans and power steering reconditioned and extensive rustproofing undertaken. The interior is largely original and only adds to the allure of this classic 60's icon. A set of period correct Mangels 15" wire wheels have been fitted finish the look and it drives beautifully.
