1968 mercury cougar,289 high performance engin,4 speed manual.Car is rust free.Have owners manual.Sold to Mary Perryman in Madill,Okla.October of 1968.I have loved this car,it runs like a new car.I take it to car shows and cruze ins.The car has been gone through professionally.The engin had the heads reworked shaved new valves,seats ground.Bored 10 over to clean cylinder walls.All done to make the car like new,I am a perfectionest so I had this done.Added a new Pro-1 harmonic balancer,and a $220 Power Master starter added.Carburator is a Holly 600 rebuilt running a 68 jet putting the plugs to a milk chocolate color.Put a 1" fuel cooler plate under the carburator.Had Hooker headers on the car when I bought it so I took them to jet Hot and had the power coated 'Silver'...The rebuilt 4 speed was bought at Blue Ridge Performance with a Hurst shifter,the car had a 3 speed and that was the reason I replaced it.In doing this I added a new fly-wheel,clutch plate,through-out bearing.

Rebuilt the swing clutch with new bearings as well.Put in new pivot bearings in the drive shaft.The rear end is in excellent condition 283 gear stock rear end great high way gear,had it checked with wax paper to see how the gears fit.Flushed the gears with lots of brake cleaner,and replaced all seals at the wheels and drive shaft.Car war painted with front and rear glass out,and replaced with new glass.New gas tank with new copper fuel line and sending unite.Fuel guage works perfact...Seats are very nice.I sound proofed the car in side while I was installing new carpet with 3-M stick pads and put them on the back of door panels.Re-worked the doors completely new sweeps,new door pins.New dash pad.Stewart Warner guages.NOW to call me you must call 27six-23three-1four85 between 8:00 am till 10:30 am Monday thur Friday.My phone will not record the messages properly.On Nov-28-20 at 18:22:26 PST, seller added the following information:I might add..I put in a new headliner.Since I had such nice headers I also built the exhaust using stainless steel pipes and stainless M-80 mufflers has an agressive sound.The radio is JBL with bluetooth and have JBK speakers in the rear window area.
