1970 Ford F-100 Sport Custom
Here we have a modified truck with only a quarter size rust
spot on the lower front fender for sale. Mostly original paint with a couple
touch up spots looking really good with a rear original color combo Royal
Maroon/Mohave Tan. Sporting a 1969 grille gives it a classic look which has
received some new paint. The truck has a drop kit installed so it is sitting 3
and 4 inches lower than a stock truck, giving it a very sleek appearance. The
original 360 is gone and was replaced years ago with a 351 Cleveland from a ’73
Gran Torino. 2 barrel block with a 4 barrel intake and modified cam, and drives
smooth down the road. The engine has approximately 10000 miles on it since
rebuild (according to the previous owner)
and the same goes for the c4 transmission out of a ’69 Mustang which shifts
smoothly. New radiator and ignition system, and a B&M floor shifter is
installed and I just rebuilt the 9 inch rear end as is was getting sloppy. Front
end alignment was done last summer. The bench seat is the original black one
with a couple of tears, so a black seat cover is protecting it. Newer cd/iPhone
sound system installed, and absolutely everything on this truck works great
except for the horn. Glass is all good and tinted including a new front windshield.
The West Coast mirrors are in great shape, with a little discoloration on the driver’s
side. All gauges works as they should, and so do all the lights (head lights,
park lights, brake lights, backup lights, license plate lights, high beams,
interior dome lights, instrument lights etc). There are no issues with this
truck as it is a very solid Western example. Comes with 8 wheels and 8 tires (and
lug nuts for both sets) so you can choose the “stock” look (with early 50’s
center caps), or the wild and crazy “custom” look. Truck is pictured with both
scenarios so you can see what it looks like. The “stock” look includes brand
new tires on stock rims, while the “custom” look have older tires mounted on
the much wider rims. I’m driving it with the stock rims right now as it rides
much better, but you have a choice either way. Power steering and power brakes,
all work perfectly fine. Automatic transmission and 2 wheel drive. 1 small
dent/imperfection on the hood as it started out as a camper special back in the
day, and the original owner hit the front of the hood up into the camper shell overhang
up front. But since it still sports the original paint for the most part, it is
basically just part of the patina. New bumpers front and rear and probably
other things I forgot to mention, but there it is, your one of a kind truck!
Love the colors on this bad boy, don’t think I’ve ever seen this color combo
before and it is very soothing. It was originally a dual tank truck but only
has the fuel tank in the cab installed at this time.

I would like to emphasize
that this is NOT a brand new truck but a 49 year old truck that has been well
taken care of and restored through the years. It is however a turnkey driver
