1970 Ford Mustang
1970 Ford Mustang Mach 1. Most main body work has been completed. I had all lower sheet metal throughout the car replaced to include in the trunk and front floor pan. The main floor pan was replaced with a one piece panel. The right front toe cover and rocker was changed. The cowl was replaced and the engine compartment was replaced from a Grande. I left the Grande VIN stamped on the fender apron so the buyer can see that it came from a coupe. The car is an original Mach 1. There are four spots still needing to be fixed. Three are pictured to include a hole on the right lower windshield post, a hole on the front and rear driver's door posts, and not pictured is a dime size hole in the lower right of the back glass pinchweld. This car was well optioned from the factory to include a Shaker, Rear Deck Spoiler, Sport Slats, Power Front Breaks, Power Steering, Tachometer, and others as noted in the attached documents. The data plate (build/buck tag) is included. The 351C-4V engine and C6 transmission in the car is sold separately. The buyer of the car has first option to purchase them or not. They were rebuilt professionally by a friend that builds dirt track race cars. The engine was built with expensive hi performance parts to include hi output oil pump in the sump, deep sump oil pan, hi compression springs and seats, L3 popup pistons, roller rockers, cradles, ARP fasteners, and more. The transmission was rebuilt to include a high compression torque converter and expensive flex fly wheel (I forgot the name and my documentation was stolen while in storage). The engine and transmission were rebuilt in 2010 and hasn't been started since. The block is a two bolt main but the rest is 4V. I have plenty of OE, NOS, and some aftermarket parts that are also going to be sold separately, but the car buyer has first choice. The rear end on the car is an 8 inch out of a 70 Mustang Coupe, but I do have a 9" with 3.0 gears that is currently disassembled and in need of races and bearings out of my 70 Mach 1 parts car that is also being sold separately. Please inquire for more information. I've probably spent over $20,000 on body restoration alone. The car went to the frame shop after the engine compartment was installed and it was better aligned than from the factory. Unfortunately, my documentation is gone. The car is a Bill of Sale only. I paid a company $2200 for a title and they only registered it in Vermont as an antique. My state, Georgia, won't issue a title on out of state Bill of Sale only cars but many other states will. Please check with your DMV if you don't know if they will issue a title or not. Georgia does register classics and antiques with bill of sale only though. The Mach 1 is beyond my mechanical abilities to complete but will make somebody a very good project to enjoy.
