Greetings!Please take the time to read through the description of my 1971 CB500 K0. Clean Michigan title in my name
Up for auction with no reserve, is my 1971 CB500 Four K0 which I have lovingly owned over three years. I am the second owner of this early vin example, and have put approximately 4,500 extremely reliable, care-free miles on this machine. The odometer is currently showing 12,392 original miles. I would not hesitate to jump on this motorcycleand ride for 12 hours. Everything works well, the engine is quiet and smooth, plenty of power with no hesitation under acceleration, and the bike handles phenomenal.
Work performed:
- New old stock/dealer take off fuel tank (has various dents and a scratch)
- Front brake rebuilt with new brake lines
- Swing arm bearings replaced and greased
- Full clutch rebuild using genuine Honda parts and clutch cable
- New Honda throttle cables
- New battery as of 5/15/2020
- New set of NGK plugs and NGK plug wire caps
- Various seasonal oil changes with Castrol 10w40 4T motorcycle oil
- Carburetors fully serviced, synced, and rebuilt with Honda o-rings (including all fuel rail o-rings)
- Front forks rebuilt with seals and new Honda fork gators installed
- Handlebar switches and control contacts cleaned
- Drive chain replaced in 2018
- Yearly service (oil change, ignition points, valve tappet, timing chain adjustment)Imperfections:- NOS fuel tank has three noticeable dents and a scrape- Seat has a couple rips on the top- Engine smokes from #3 and #4 cylinders on hot days or during extended riding- Various areas of surface rust around frame and hardware, some fading on side covers, signs of cosmetic wear- #4 muffler has a rust spot where the header pipe meet muffler (otherwise all pipes are extremely solid)This is a great rider quality CB500 that has countless miles left of enjoyment and reliability. I would like to see this go to a good home where it can be ridden as is, or restored by the next owner.
