Seller Description

Up for consideration is my 1971 Kawasaki A7B (street), 350cc, two-stroke, rotary valve, original paint, mostly original everything else, 12,172 miles (and climbing), all meters and electrics work as they should, newer IRC tires (previous owner), runs good, fast, loud, and smoky. Original means this machine and most everything on it is 49-years-old and may need upgrades if the new owner chooses. This is an unrestored motorcycle. Purchased with 10,809 miles. The previous owner said it sat for some time. Frame # KA7-24460. Engine # A7E-23258. The good: It's a Kawasaki A7. Many newer parts, have receipts. Sounds beautiful. Uncommon sight wherever is it. Inside of take is very clean, no rust. Clear Michigan title in my name. 1-year-old battery. Complete and very good looking motorcycle. The Bad: To me is sounds like a mild mis-fire on left side, there was trouble with the CDI last year and finally sorted it out. Stored the bike inside my house during the winter and the CDI trouble returned this spring, not as bad this time. I did my best trying to figure it out. Timing is spot on and it starts on one or two kicks with the aid of the starter, warms up in a few minutes and idles fine. Also, I may be wrong about the mis-fire as I am deaf in one ear. Upon initial start-up it smokes more on the left side, not sure if its related to mild mis-fire or not. I notice after it warms up it smokes much less over all. There can be a false neutral on most rides. I'm not an expert on transmissions but I suspect, and I have sought advise, that the shafts could need shims, I do not know. It shifts better when it's colder. Several scrapes on the right hand muffler on lower side (see photo). Left hand muffler has small scrape towards the rear end and some battery acid stains near the middle. These are the original pipes and mufflers and it's very hard to find better ones. Small scrape on forward edge of front fender. Several paint chips and staining. Cables may have small cracks. Left hand fork boot has split on back side. The ball bearings in the steering head appears to have a flat spot that will need to be addressed. Although newer, the front tire is too small in my opinion - it's 3.00 x 18, it should be 3.25 x 18. No spares, tool kit, or manuals - just a key and a title. The covers on the ends of the mufflers are to prevent oil drips on my driveway of course. Please, I encourage you to ask questions. I have many more photos and a video of the bike running last year before any CDI troubles began. I can send link for that. The bike is sold "as is" with NO warranty what so ever. I will not ship this motorcycle anywhere, but I will work with your shipper and co-ordinate transportation with them. I will store the motorcycle for up to 30 days no charge, if you need more time let me know. I will not let this Kawasaki A7 leave my property until full payment is completed. We can talk about storage and all that when the bike has a new owner. I have described my 1971 Kawasaki A7B to the best of my ability, I may edit this listing as needed.Kind regards.
