The Pontiac plant that built the Trans AM suffered a large strike in 1972, so the number of cars built in '72 was significantly lower than other years. This Trans AM is 1 of 458 - 455HO 4 Speeds built that year. Only 1969 had a lower production of Trans AM's. It comes with PHS documentation including a copy of the Factory Invoice and a unique letter from PHS indicating the options that came on this Trans AM. This car is even more rare for one reason. It is a Factory Air Conditioned car and very few 4 speed cars were build with AC. It also has its original Numbers Matching Transmission. The original engine is gone, but the replacement is the Famous '71 455HO that featured Round Port 197 Heads and a Factory Aluminum Intake manifold. Quite honestly, it is more desirable than the original engine.As you may know, this specific Trans AM was featured in the Coffee Walk Video by Dennis Collins of Collins Bros.

The PHS shows it was Sold New at Charlie Cox Pontiac in Albertville, Alabama and quickly made its way to the Dallas Texas area. The last Lic. Plate is dated 1975 (Texas). It has supposedly been off the road since 1984 according to the Video. The body is in generally good condition. There are some rust issues, but nothing that can't be repaired. Once finished, you will have one of the hardest to find Trans AM's on the planet.
