For your consideration I have listed a 1973 BMW R50/5 LWB ( as seen in pics). This bike is a solid super clean example of and old reliable BMW Airhead. This is a rare 1973 LWB as you can see from the pics the factory added section on the frame this occurred mid 1973 in the middle of the production run. The bike runs drives and stops great. No leaks no smoke or funny noises. Both carburetors have been rebuild, newer battery, new tires and clutch adjustment completed. Gas tank resealed. New fuel lines. Mileage is original @ 18993. This may go up slightly as she gets exercised on the weekends. Everything works as it should . Kick start is present. Both center and side stand.
This is a bike with a very interesting history. It was purchased new by a US serviceman who subsequently brought it back to the US. I have included with the bike the original tool kit, air pump, manuals and catalogs in German. I also have what I believe to be the original build sheet. See the pics of the paperwork.
I am a private collector and have to make room for a lot of non-running bikes I just purchased that are going to be consuming much of my free time.
