Used 1973 Yamaha Other
Seller Description
NOTE - The title on this motorcycle is NOT clear. The prior owner signed it at purchase and then did not apply for a title, so the title is useless. I have his contact information, but you should assume that it has NO TITLE. I will print a Bill Of Sale. We will NOT be able to assist further in your efforts to obtain a new title. This bike started its life as a 1973 RT1 360, also called a DT360. A few years ago, it was re-built as an MX360, with the following items and work done to it, by a known lifetime motorcycle mechanic and AHRMA restorations guy in this region. After being restored/upgraded, it was raced less than 20 hours, before the owner sold it to our shop, to help pay for his son's tuition that year. All we have done is to clean it up, add the tank, guards and make the side plates, started it and ran it to assure it runs correctly. It does - starts quickly and runs strong. It is a matching numbers, original frame paint bike.- 20 hours on complete top/bottom break-down engine overhaul- Unknown over-bore on cylinder (builder forgot which cut it is on, and we chose not to remove head to check) - Correct over-bore piston and rings (currently holding 155 Psi)- 1974 head, shaved to accept high pipe- Light porting on cylinder by professional engine porting builder, very slight/mild, but makes it pull linear and STRONG.- All new gaskets and seals- All new bearings, including mains and transmission bearings right and left sides.- Conical roller bearing steering conversion.- New clutch components (plates, basket, inner hub & springs)- New Progressive Suspension Mfg. 15" rear shocks (taller with more travel than a stock MX360)- Rebuilt, re-sprung '78 Yamaha TT500 forks, with Progressive Suspension Mfg. springs (taller with more travel than a stock MX360)- 1972 MX250 front and rear wheel hubs/brakes, laced to Akront front and rear rims 21" front and 18" rear- New Boysen reeds- New Clarke plastic tank and petcock, no leaks on either.- New tires, tubes, sprockets, chain, custom air pod air filter nestled up and attached to the frame in the old air box area, protected by covers. We will be selling the street components separately, after the auction is over. They are not included in this auction. Please reach out to us, if those are of interest for you to purchase separately. Our hours are Tue-Fri 10-5:30 and Sat 10-2.
