This numbers matching 1974 Bonneville is a fantastic patina bike that mechanically needs nothing to ride and enjoy!
This T140V just finished a comprehensive mechanical service including: rebuilding the front forks, completely overhauling the front brake system and upgrading the master cylinder for improved feel, servicing the Amal concentric carburetors, a valve adjustment, Wassell electronic ignition and coil upgrade, new stator, new kick start gear, new clutch rod actuator, a new high-flow oil pump and fresh fluids for the entire drivetrain. Compression on the 750cc engine is good and the bike starts easily from cold or hot and rides beautifully. It pulls strongly through the gears and shifts smoothly, this is a wonderful classic Triumph that is ready to go for the start of riding season.
Cosmetically this Bonneville is full of character, it shows it's age but wears it well. The paint on the tank is crazed but still looks presentable after a good wash and wax. It has multiple small scratches and a small dent on the top of the tank near the back, this is not a show bike but it is a lovely rider with loads of personality. The chrome is bright and shows only minor pitting and a few scratches.
The odometer shows 06511 miles but the true mileage is unknown.Please inspect all photos closely and feel free to contact us about any questions you may have before bidding on this auction.
