Used 1974 Yamaha YZ Used 125L

Up for auction is my 1974 Yamaha YZ125. This bike does NOT have a title. This is a very rare bike, the first year yz’s are very hard to come by. This bike is original and not modified in any way. This is a complete bike that’s only missing the front brake perch and lever, otherwise everything is there and in great restorable condition. The pipe has no dents or repairs and the gas tank has zero dents or issues either. All plastic is intact with no cracks or repairs besides front number plate is chipping around sides. Seat cover starting to separate at areas. Still has the original hand grips they are split though. Tires are dry rotted as well.
Engine does not run but does turn over with no tight spots. Has very low compression. Previous owner took the top end off and never repaired it so it sat in a barn for years. Just to make sure all parts and hardware were there, I reassembled the top end minus base gasket. So everything is there and not damaged. The main bearings do sound rough so I’d assume a complete engine rebuild or at least inspection. The rod has little play so crank may be ok for reuse. Clutch operates and it shifts. I did notice there is no engine number on engine case, bike did come with one extra right side engine case and spare cylinder that also needs bored. I noticed the spare case half does have the same vin stamp as the frame. I see no damage so maybe during the rebuild that case should be used. So as it sits it does have Yamaha replacement cases in the bike.
Again great bike to fully restore or just go over it and vintage race it. Everything is there and overall nice, so very easy resto.
