1975 Holden LH Twin Turbo LS ToranaThis 1975 Holden LH Torana Sedan has been completely modified from top to tail as a serious street car that certainly means business. From the outside the car is quite subtle, the paintwork is nice all round with blacked out bumpers and door handles. A set of convo pro wheels, the reverse cowl bonnet and roll cage through the rear window hint of something more serious below.Under the bonnet lies a twin turbo LS engine package with all of the fruit built by JW Racing here in Brisbane. The block is an LSA item that has been stroked to 418 cubes. Twin Garrett GT42 turbos look like they could suck up any low flying animals and spit them out the other end. Turbosmart 50mm wastegates handle boost pressure with exits out of the bonnet on either side. A Plazmaman 2500hp intercooler helps keep intake temps down. A rear mounted fuel cell with big fuel system setup running E85 provide the fuel for the flame.

The result is a dyno sheet proven, 874.3Kw at the rear wheels at 27 PSI or just shy of 1200 RWHP in the old scale. That’s some serious mambo in anyone’s language. The transmission is a 2 speed power glide with Vasco billet input shaft built to handle 1800hp. A trans brake is also fitted to get those launches right at the track. Custom TCE converter and TCI flexplate along with a billet tail shaft and 1350 billet yolk keep the rotating parts strong. A braced 9” diff feeds all that power to the wheels with the help of 35 spline billet axles. Keeping everything cool is an electric water pump and custom radiator setup.Stopping all of that horsepower is trusted to a full set of Willwood disk brakes. If things get serious at the track, the car is set up with a rear mount parachute that is removable for street duties. Under the car has all new ball joints and wheel bearings. Koni adjustable shocks front and rear help to keep the rubber on the road and the diff is pre-set with wheelie bar mounts if you wanted to have a real crack down the strip. The car sits on a set of old school style Convo Pro wheels all round with big meat under the bum and front runners up the steering end.Inside the interior is nice and neat, the seats are the original style retrimmed in black vinyl. There is an extensive roll cage which provides peace of mind given the power under your right foot and a Haltech digital dash to keep an eye on what’s happening under the hood. A ratchet style shifter with trans brake button sit between the front bucket seats. Given the amount of horsepower the car is making, it is surprisingly streetable and actually very nice to drive. The car comes with dyno sheet and QLD mod plate.
