1976 BMW R90/6 Serial
no: [hidden information] (frame and engine match). History
and mileage were unknown by the previous owner.
I replaced the speedometer and tachometer with used units when I
purchased it. I have owned it for 11 years
and have put around 4,000 miles on it. Was
last run about two years ago.
Not currently running. It
suddenly stopped while I was riding it and I have not fixed the problem. Mechanically, the motor is fine.

It is some electrical issue with the ignition. I have five other BMW motorcycles (2
R1100RTs, an R100RT, an R75/5, and an R69S).
I have simply lost interest in this one.
The starter works, but is rough sounding. A replacement starter, believed to be okay,
is included. It has the tire pump and
the tool tray, but no tools. A few new
parts included: clutch cable, Bosch
spark plugs, and breaker points. A new sidestand
($161.50, not mounted) is also included. The battery needs replacement. All the paint appears to be original except
for the tank and the side panels. The
tank has a small dent near the seat and a small scratch and rub mark. The side panels look great, but are painted flat black. The center stand has no tang
and has had some metal plates welded to the portion that touches the ground. The locking mechanism for the seat is gone. Krauser saddlebags and a topcase in good
condition are included. A motorcycle cover
is included. The Michelin Macadam tires have plenty of tread and look good, but
have a manufacture date of 03 on them.
The front brake needs some work and is currently dragging. Rust on the turn signal stalks. Rust on axles. Surface rust on seat rail. You should assume that this motorcycle needs a
little bit of everything and a very thorough cleaning.
