Up for Auction is this 1976 Porsche 912E, last owned for 15 years. This low VIN 912E was first sold and manufactured in 1975 at Tom Carstens Porsche & Audi in Tacoma WA. From 1988 to 2005 it resided in Seattle WA, from 2006 to 2020 it was located in Beaverton Oregon.
This 76' 912E runs and drives great with a recent overhaul of the engine only 8600 miles ago. It cold starts fine and needs about 1-2 minutes to be warmed up. The Tachometer, Speedometer, temperatureand all other gauges work, even the clock. This engine is very tight, does not leak any oil. The alternator charges fine and all the lights, turn signals, internal lights, horn and non stock radiofunction as they should. The tires on this 912 have good tread but are about 8 years old. It shifts through all 5 gears smoothly and reverse functions as it should. The ebrake is functional.
The interior is in good overall shape with some wear on the driver'sseat and rear jumperseats. The carpet is in good overall condition and all the glass looks stock. The non stock mirrors were added in 1996 and the Monza Exhaust was added in the late 90's. Please see the walk aroundvideo, running video and cold start video. The sunroof looks to be in great shape, it's been in the closed position for the 8 years.
The body on this 912E is very straight with zero signs of major work ever done. The paint is about 12 years old but still presents well. The body does have 6-7 areas with some paint blisters, please see the photos at the link above. The undercarriagelooks incredible, zero signs of corrosion or rust. The paint does have some chipping, slight wear and some fading in a few areas. Overall an 8/10.
