1977 BMW R-Series . Condition is Used.
This is my 1977 BMW R1000. It is in unrestored condition. The fairing you see is a Don Vesco. I believe it to be original to the bike. I say this because although it was not a standard option, these fairings were installed by dealers at time of purchase, and I believe that to be the case here as well. All in all, it is a fun little OG cafe bike. I have a box of parts as well that will go with the sale, which includes some original foot pegs, and the side covers and what I believe to be the original tail section. It is steel, and a two up seat system with a luggage rack. However I do not have the seat to install this particular set it, so I never have.Overall, the bike runs and drives as it should. I've had a lot of motorcycles in my life, and a lot of unrestored bikes. This one is nice. Of course it could use some things. Carbs could be cleaned up as it is a bit hard starting when cold. Brakes are decent, but not fantastic. But overall, this is a really nice example of a cool bike that could really be awesome with a little time.I think my reserve is fair, and I am willing to look at offers.
