NO RESERVE Auction for
1979 Jeep Cherokee SJ Chief Wide Track. Two
door with tailgate, QuadraTrac, 360cu V8 engine and automatic transmission. It has Hi Low shift on the tunnel along with
part time 4wd and locking hubs. Odometer
reads 30,322, but mileage unknown. The odometer only has 5 digits, so could be
130,322.The jeep runs great and passes smog emissions in California.
I purchased this car
as a barn find out of Nevada. Over the
years I have slowly worked on the car to ensure it is safe and reliable.
I changed out the
front grille to a Gladiator grille, tuned up the engine and replaced the fluids
along with the battery and radiator. I
have also added several other parts such as an electric fuel pump to help in
the cold weather.
The truck has a 3 inch
lift on it with new 33 inch BF Goodrich A/T tires and new rims. We have enjoyed using this car to explore the
back country with no problems.

The back
seat is removable for a larger cargo area.
The areas of wear on
the car are as follows:The front two seats will need to be recovered
(the rear seat is in very good condition).There is a small amount of rust on the lower
edges of the fender flares (see picture 3).
I have new fender flares, but have not had the time to install
them. They will be included with the
sale at no additional cost.The fuel gauge reads high. I have replaced the fuel tank, sending unit
and the gauge and have been unable to fully correct the issue.There is no air conditioning (system was not functioning so it was removed)
I have a lot of spare
parts that will be included in the sale at no additional cost. I have the
original front grille along with a full size brush bar and the original wheels
