This 1979 Mercedes-Benzis best described as a contemporary classic. Its timeless body design is still regarded as a graceful and elegant shape, its 4.5-liter V-8 engine still delivers performance on par with contemporary standards and its 4-wheel independent suspension still delivers excellent cornering capability while maintaining a supple ride quality. Simply stated, the Mercedes-Benz R107 never went out of style. This particular Mercedes-Benz is of 1979 vintage and is fitted with the large-displacement 4.5-liter, single overhead cam, V-8 engine and the 3-speed automatic transmission.

These cars were built to an extremely high standard of construction-the doors shut with a bank-vault firmness and the entire structure is solid and devoid of any shakes or rattles. Originally a 350SL UK vehicle it has been in Australia many years and is absolutely solid from top to bottom now upgraded with a 450SL motor. The “Needs to be Australian delivered” brigade need not waste my time with silly offers. I’m in no rush to sell nor do I need to.
It is not a concours car but is a stunningly presented and upgraded classic that can be used as a daily driver or a Sunday cruiser.
Will be sold with Victorian RWC. Car is on club plates which are non transferable.
