I offer for sale my 1981 BMW R100CS.

WBM[hidden information]B[hidden information], production date 11/1980. This is one of very few US market CS’s made. The bike currently has 105,388 miles. The previous owner purchased the bike in 1995 with about 30k on the clock. I purchased the bike in 2012. Unfortunately, I started traveling extensively for work, so it has been stored since then until just a couple months ago. I have worked through the bike to ensure it is ready to provide reliable service for the next owner. Includes BMW touring bags pictured and one key for the ignition (does not fit luggage). I have a clear South Carolina title for the motorcycle in my name. The bike was recently tuned up by a BMW mechanic and I feel confident it is ready to be ridden and fully enjoyed by a new owner. My only concern before returning to daily service would be the age of the tires.

Recent service:-Stripped old sealer from gas tank & resealed with KBS gold standard coating-Replaced both fuel petcocks, hoses, and added inline filters-Cleaned carbs and replaced o-rings, floats, and diaphragms-Changed engine oil & filter-Changed brake fluid-Replaced front brake pads-Changed transmission fluid-Changed final drive fluid-Changed fork oil-Replaced fork sliders-Replaced mirrors with new OEM ones-Replace battery-Replace spark plugs-Replace spark plug cables with OEM ones-Replace handlebar switches (euro light switch not connected)-Remounted cockpit fairing with new hardware, was mounted with RS mount-Replaced old ignition module with new Enduralast heavy duty ignition module-Replaced old twin ignition coils with new Enduralast 0.7-ohm dual tower ignition coil-Fresh tune up by BMW mechanic, verified good compression @ 130 (L) and 138 (R) cold and adjusted valves to proper spec
The bad:-Many scratches all around and noticeable wear, makes for a lovely “patina”-2 holes on each side of fairing where PO installed RS mirrors along with the RS mount.-Missing headlight gasket in cockpit fairing-Seat cowl and tank emblems not original spec, seat cowl may be from an S model given the grab bar only with no luggage rack-Some surface rust on frame and seat pan was treated with rust converter-Some surface rust/slight pitting on chrome exhaust pipes-Cracked instrument cluster case at the bottom mount-No keys for luggage or gas cap, only one key for ignition
