This is the last R65LS imported into North America. I bought it from a friend in 1984. It’s been to Alaska via the Al-Can highway, circumnavigated Nova Scotia, and been all over northern NE. I change batteries every few years, replace fluids, check the timing, brakes, cables. It spent the winter before last at a local shop and got a good going over, replacing the rear main seal and Bridgestone Battleax up front. I don’t know the miles – the odometer was busted when I got it – but it's solid and rides beautifully. The first thing I'd do is get a Corbin seat. But that would be your choice.
