This motorcycle is probably one of the nicest XL600Rs that you will find for sale for a long time, and they are becoming very collectable because most of them were modified or damaged offroad. I have included tons of full-size photos below.
I am selling at NO RESERVE STARTING AT $1 because I am moving mid-May to a home without a garage, and I do not want to have to store this outside/need to thin the herd. I just bought an XR650 that I don't mind storing outdoors and beating on on fire roads.

I purchased the bike from the son of the original owner, and his dad purchased it brand new from Fay Myers Motorcycle World in Denver, CO. His dadused it for riding around town and on RV trips where he would load it on the back of the RV to then ride around camp.The key still has the original Fay Myers keychain tag that came with it new. I have a couple insurance and registration documents from the '90s for the bike with the original owners name as well. It has always lived in Denver, CO.
The bike is in excellent condition with minimal wear, low miles, and no mechanical issues. It is in absolutelyphenomenalshape for dual sport motorcycles that were often modified or ridden hard off road. The XL600R actually has more horsepower than a 2019 Honda XR650!
The few cosmetic things to note (all are clearly shown in the photos):The right side of the tank has paint scuff and very shallow dished dent. The paint scuff looks like it was rubbing from a tank bag or something similar because it is not scratched or dented around it.The left side frame by the foot peg is worn from boots rubbing, and this happens on every dual sport like this.The right number plate graphic has a few air bubbles in it on the top right (seen clearly in the picture) that are not obvious in-person unless looking. I have a brand new side cover graphic for the buyer.

This is very minor and near impossible to photograph, but the top of the front fender has some spiderwebbing from flexing over the years.The bike starts, idles, revs, and rides excellentThe gearbox shifts excellent with no issues or crunchesThe headlight low beam and high beam work perfectThe turn signals flash left and flash right both front and rear correctly, and pushing in the handlebar button cancels them as it should.The brake light illuminates for running lights when running (as all bikes do for safety) and illuminates full brightness when the front or rear brake are pressed. It returns to normal running lights when either is let go.The dashboard lights including the neutral light all work, and the speedo functions smoothly.
