1985 was the last year Mercedes built the gorgeous W123 series 2 door pillar less coupe. They made these legendary cars between 1978 and 1985 , but only the last 4 years with the turbo version. They are known to be the most enduring and reliable cars Mercedes ever produced. You often find them with over 500k miles and still running well. This particular car was finished in the classic Mercedes color combination of Astral Silver ( MB color-code 735) with dark Navy blue MB-tex interior.This car has always been pampered and garaged and it shows. The original silver paint is still shiny like on a much newer car. It has never been in an accident and there is no rust. The interior is stunning, as the many extra pictures will show. There are no rips or tears in the seats and the padding is still firm. The carpets are clean and there are no strange odors of any kind. Even the original dashboard is perfect and the wood panels are gorgeous. The headliner is clean and the door panels are in great shape as well. Thesun visors are like new with the vanity mirrors lighting up as they should. Even the original Becker radio is working fine with the power antenna going up and down as intended. All the power windows areworking properly including the ones in the back.This car really sticks out and i do get compliments on it every time i take it out. But the best thing about it is the way it drives. It always starts up right away and it has plenty of power in town and on the freeway. The transmission was rebuilt with 144k miles and it shifts smooth through all the gears. Just recently i took it on a 600 mile trip without any problems and i would not hesitate driving it across country on short notice.The whole car was just serviced with new fluids and filters. The valves were adjusted and the engine seals were replaced as needed. The Ac was serviced and it blows cold. The tires have about 6000 miles and are like new. I could not think ofanything it needs.This would be the perfect car for a collector. Mercedes only made 8007 of the W123 turbo coupes and after 34 years there are not too many left in this condition. It would also be a great car for anybody who likes a classic car but needs them to be reliable enough for every day driving. This car was very luxurious for 1985 and it does not have any of the annoying electronic gadgets of modern cars today. There are no tire pressure monitors thatconstantly come on or any other distracting sensors. You can just sit in and drive in style and elegance at 90mph while still getting 27mpg of diesel.I would prefer to sell this car locally to somebody who could actually come out and see it/ appreciate it. But i would also be willing to help with shipping arrangements or an airport pick up for out of town winning bidders.This is a wonderful , well maintained classic Mercedes and it will be sold WITHOUT a warranty.Please have your funding in order and do all your "duediligence " BEFORE placing a bid.I did upload many more detailed pictures.
