1990 Hugger XLH with 2,576 miles. Clear MA Title. Serial number 1HD4CEM11LY[hidden information]. Manufactured May 1, 1990 YorkPennsylvania. This one owner machine was sold by Appleton Harley Davidson in Clarksville Tennessee and eventually found its way to Massachusetts. It has spent the majority of its life in storage here in New England. It is finished in Bright Candy Ruby Red and is one of 1091 units produced in this color.Unfortunately, this machine was stored with the rear piston at its lowest point with a valve open which allowed moisture to get into the rear cylinder and condense (not my doing).The resulted in some oxidation on the cylinder wall which will need to be addressed. The top end has been removed, inspected, cleaned, and put back together, but just finger tightened as the rear cylinder should be re-machined or swapped out in spite of having no miles on the motorcycle. The bottom end is immaculate. Cylinder kits are very inexpensive should you choose to go that route. There is also a locally available stock bore 883 cylinder(s) for little money next town over. The tank has a dent in it,so I have included a dent-free replacement fuel tank. The good news is this Hugger has its original equipment, save for the front tire and is ready for a complete going through. You need a 90/90-19 front tire to correctly fit the front fender. I put a spare 100/90-19 tire that does not clear the fender brace for standard operation. If you appreciate the first generation four speed Evo Sportsters for their durability and simplicity and functional value, this maybe worth a look.
