The first owner had the car for two years until the end of 1994, subsequently it has had two further owners until the end of 2020. In summary, it's a highly original structurally sound truck that present in good all-round condition when considered its age and mileage and lack of underside corrosion.CONDITIONEXTERIOROverall, the bodywork is factory original. There are a few small dents, however overall presents well. The car would benefit from some cosmetic attention, for example the front side passenger fender rubs against the door upon entry and exit to the vehicle.PAINTThe discovery carries most its original paint. The bodywork would benefit from some light attention, however overall it presents very nicely.WHEELSThe car has a full set of 5 Discovery II factory Typhoon wheels that are all in good condition. They are shod in a matching set of 215/75 R16 Bridgestone H/T Duellers.INTERIORThe front seats are in good condition, except from the damage on the left-hand side of the driver’s seat. The map pocket to the rear of the front seat is beginning to sag. Most importantly all the palomino plastic panels are still in place, and present in very good condition. The dashboard presents in good condition. The rear-view mirror is missing along with several speaker covers. The Air Conditioning also works well.STEERING WHEELThe car features the original discovery 1 two spoke steering wheel.MECHANICALENGINEThe engine runs very well, delivering power smoothly throughout the rev range.GEAR BOXThe Discovery gear box is in good condition, the clutch is slipping a little during acceleration, it could benefit from some further investigation.STRUCTURALStructurally the vehicle is excellent having remained in Barcelona in south east of Spain all its life. The chassis and body mounts are all original and present in good condition with no evidence of corrosion or perishing rubber components. There is a surface rust patch on the back of the wheel well and rear cross member. The photos speak to themselves, the condition of the chassis and floors are in good condition.DOCUMENTATIONThe car is accompanied with its original Austin Rover Spanish technical inspection logbook that documents the car’s technical specification. The car’s last technical inspection (ITV) in Spain was in 2019.
