For sale we have my white 1993 MAZDA RX-7 FD3S
The engine has recently been rebuilt & runs really smooth, in my ownership. I have installed the latest generation power FC for the 1993 models.
The car has been serviced roughly two weeks ago, all 4 spark plugs were changed = 4 BUR9EQ.
The oil has been change , I’ve been using Castrol Classic 20w50 & also the coolant has been to genuine Mazda long life coolant(premixed)
I’ve always been using Castrol 2 stroke oil for premix in my ownership.
The car drives great, it feels nimble & light, the throttle is nice and responsive.
The gearbox & clutch is bang on, no crunches or clutch slip.
The bodywork is really tidy for a 27 year old car!
It has a minor dent on the left front fender but should be able to be get pulled out without any repainting
The interior is really clean, I’ve looked online at some others, they have installed universal head units & not many still have the original.
It still has the original head unit & stereo, the electric power windows & wing mirror’s are in functional order.
It has upgraded Rotor Tips Autoexe Ram air intake (carbon fibre)Greddy Titanium exhaust ( sounds amazing)99 spec front bumper & wing Personal steering wheel Apexi Power FC Mitsubishi evo 8 wheels
Things to do.
Get the car remapped, I haven’t got the car remapped since installing the Power Fc & ever since, I installed it. The car idles at 2,000 rpm & sometimes gets a fuel cut off or boost cut when really pushing it, but once you are driving normally, it’s really smooth with no boost cuts or fuel cuts.
So I recommend getting the car tuned & the map refined. But what I can say, the turbos definitely kick in a lot harder, than it they did with the stock ECU.
The steering alignment needs to get sorted .
When the car was getting serviced, I had a leak checked out & It’s coming from the power steering hose.
The bonnet struts need fitting, I forgot to bring them when I was getting it serviced:(.
Apart from that, the car is really clean & tidy. Minimal mods & a really clean looking exterior & interior.
It’s a really beautiful car for its age & is in one of the best colours for a RX-7.
Around 90,000 miles
I started the car & was letting it warm up, the coolant alarm went off like it normally does, then came back on.
I notice smoke from the engine bay & the coolant reservoir tank has split, coolant was shooting out the tank. I used elastic bands to hold in place & some smoke is coming from the radiator.
At most it’ll need a new coolant reservoir tank & a new radiator, the radiator’s can sometimes crack.
No smoke from the exhaust or the engine, just smoke near the coolant reservoir & radiator.

The car will need to be transported, I wouldn’t risk driving it.
Earlier in the day, I took it to shell & had a little drive. I went to start it around 5 hours later & this happened.
