Ive owned the car for about 10 years. I had a full respray and new wings done a few months after purchasing the car and bought the genuine Monte Carlo stickers from Rover before they went bust. The engine was bored to a 1380 in 2005. I had this done to make motorway commuting at the weekends easier. The car has been garaged and not used since 2007. Only to be turnt over and drove around the block once a month. The spec includes a stage 3 head. Up-rated AP Racing clutch kit. Reground nitro-carburised crankshaft. Lightened balanced assembly. Steel centre main strap. Fast Road fuel injection Kent cams. Duplex timing gears chain. AE pistons. H/C steel backed oil pump. Central oil pickup pipe. Competition diff pin. Oil inter cooler. Oil pressure gauge. KN cone filter with ram air pipe. Heavy duty engine stabilizers. Straight cut 4 speed box. with final drive ratio 3. 44. Approx 100Bhp. The engine has covered about 7500 miles. I have all bills and receipts. 2 years ago I done a fairly big overall/refresh on the car as I noticed rust and wear was appearing in places. So I replaced and fixed all that needed to be. Rust at the rear: Rear subframe cleaned and stone chipped New Genuine Rover Radius arms New Mini fins New Genuine AP Complete back plates New KAD alloy hand break quadrants New Braided hoses New hand break cable Rust at the front: New Mini Spares Super 2 core radiator. Inner sills welded Bits that were worn and replaced with: New KAD Quickshift - Rod lift for reverse. New Radiator top hose New Heater Matrix New Speedo cable New Rover Wheel nuts New Maniflow 1 7/8 straight through twin silencer exhaust New Mini spares Lower adjustable arms. New Hi Los New Rubber Trumpets New AGX Evo Kayaba shocks. New Alternator New Stainless steel Grill. New Wood Picket Bumpers and Over Rider kit New Stainless Steel Rear fog lamp. Since all this work took place I still have the car garaged but unfortunately in the past few months rust has come through in the usual mini problem areas. (Head light surrounds. windscreen scuttle and doors sills). I dont have the time to keep on top of such problems anymore and feel that selling the car is the best thing to do so someone else with the time can revive the car and take the glory in keeping it in the condition it deserves.
