For sale on behalf of one of our customers is this 1994 built Westfield fitted with a X-Flow engine believed to be 1700cc mated to a Ford Type 9 5-speed gearbox. The car has been in dry storage until recently and we have carried out light recommissioning to get it running and through an MoT.We do not have build data for the engine but it is reputedly running an ex Formula Ford bottom end with a stage 2 head, there is receipt for a Kent a2 cam and a rolling road session where it was producing 100 bhp at the rear wheels, 130 bhp at the flywheel.The car comes with a lot of the build data, various pieces of information on the carb settings, which as you can see are twin 40 DCOE's.Information from the owner as follows:Engine came from a MK3 Cortina, 611M BA block which was crack tested and then modified to take the Formula Ford crank, rod and pistons, then lightened and balanced. Fitted with a competition oil pump, water pump, Kent fast road cam, head was ported and gas flowed with larger valves and double springs, original Westfield sump fitted.Competition clutch taking the power to an ex Capri 5 speed gearbox using an alloy bellhousing.At the time of the engine build, the carbs were completely rebuilt to give a choke per cylinder using genuine Weber parts.Mocal oil cooler fitted with catch tank, all Samco hoses, new starter and alternator.Willwood 4 pot front calipers, wheels from an RS2000, electronic ignition, new leads, new clocks and gauges, new light weight seats.Competition exhaust manifold, new side exhaust, new propshaft, rear axle rebuilt with new bearings and seals.Over ВЈ5K spent on the engine, total spend cВЈ11.5KBuilt for sprints and hill climbs, it is a bit lumpy and spits flames out of the carb intakes and is a bit of a handful on the road, easily spinning the rear wheels.If you are after something lairy, this is it. Some minor tidying to do if you want to make it mint but it is crying out to be used.This is a commission sale and is offered without warranty, implied or given.
