Seller Description

1995 GMC Sonoma S10/S15, SLS Coupe, extended cab, pickup truck, which was professionally converted to a fully electric vehicle (EV).I have a clear Texas title in hand and a clear carfax report.
Overall, this vehicle is in good condition, given its age. The entire EV system has only about 2500 miles on it though it is an earlier conversion, the rest of the vehicle has 166k. This truck is from the Southwest and the body is rust free. The 144v DC motor is driven by 12 x 12v Odyssey PC2250 AGM Batteries. Half are good, 2 or 3 marginal and the rest will not hold a charge. Recovering or replacing the batteries is required to make this a good runner again. There are lots of options to do this and costs will range from as little as $500 to two to three thousand depending on what you want to achieve.
The motor is an Advanced Electric DC FB1-4001.

The controller is a Curtis 1231C-8601. The charger is a PFC-3000. The motor can provide continuous power of around 30 HP (and up to 100 HP for short periods). The original standard transmission was retained; however, a clutch is no longer required; so it was removed. The range depends on driving style but the batteries, when new, were rated at 114Ah (with 240 Minute Reserve Capacity); 1225 CCA, 1550 MCA, 1730 HCA, 2250 Cranking Amps for 5 Seconds.
This vehicle plugs into a standard 120V outlet, and was designed to fully charge overnight. It can easily become a dual-fuel hybrid electric vehicle with the addition of a gas/propane generator (not included) for less than $400 (Search: Sportsman Dual Fuel 4000-Watt Gasoline/Propane Portable Generator), which can be stored in the truck bed area.
The previous owner spared no expense on this conversion. The following parts were purchased new at the time of conversion and professionally installed on this vehicle:
-- One, Advanced Electric DC FB1-4001, 144 Volt DC motor (~$2000)-- One, 144 volt electronic motor controller (~1750)-- One, PFC-3000, 12-144 volt charger (~$1100)-- Twelve, 12V AGM batteries (~$300/ea = $3600)-- Misc. Wire, Connectors (~$700)
