Engine: 4.0L I6 F DOHC 24V / RWD This 1995 Jaguar XJS shows 77,642 original miles and is equipped with a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter straight V6. Finished in Carnival Red over a light Tan leather interior, the car has a clean Carfax report, and a clean title. We can send Carfax to anyone who requests it. Includes power seats, power steering, ABS, and 6-CD stereo.. This vehicle runs, drives and stops well. It is clean inside & out. Cosmetically the car is in Very Good condition for its age. A couple blemishes in the paint are seen the driver side door and in the front of the hood (see photos). The paint is not perfect but presents nicely from 10 feet. Just passed smog. Convertible top was recently replaced and is like is new. One known issue is that the ABS light is on, which has been diagnosed as the sensor for the control module needing to be replaced.Also, the AC is functional but needs Freon. A little history: The Jaguar XJS is a luxury grand tourer produced from 1975 to 1996 and replaced the E-Type. Although it never had quite the same sporting image, the XJS was a competent replacement with better aerodynamics than the E-Type. These cars were re-engineered in May 1991 and renamed XJS (facelift). The rear side windows appeared enlarged and the buttresses stayed, although their appearance was minimized by the new side window treatment, as designer Geoff Lawson argued that they were part of the car's character. These cars received a new 4.0 litre version of the AJ16 engine. At the same time, the car benefited from a revision to the rear brakes; they were now fitted with outboard rear disc brakes, instead of the more complicated inboard items on previous models. It also received a more aerodynamic front and rear bumpers. Factory option chrome alloy wheels, offered with the toolkit, manual, & some service records.
