Seller Description

1997 White Mazda E2500
Diesel van (ex-refrigerated so well insulated) in above average condition.
Firstly and up front,
the van has been stored for a couple of years but prior to storage the Engine
oil and filter were changed, air filter and fuel filter renewed and was in prep
for storing the vehicle, so all good. Also whilst I wasn't using the van I
would still turn the engine over on a regular basis.
I have now decided to
sell my van as the van needs to be used and so I put a battery on it and she
fired up with no problems at all. I have also drained the old diesel out of the
tank and the fuel filter and put 20L back in so you have nice fresh diesel in
the tank. The old diesel that came out the tank looked fine.
The only other work I've
done is to clean the van, check the brakes (removed rear drums to check the
shoes and front wheels to check the front pads/rotors) which are all good and with plenty
of life in them.
Now the van is an Ex-refrigerated
van and cost around $8000 to be converted (as told by previous owner). It has
been done really well.
I have taken the
refrigeration unit out and unfortunately it was linked in with the vehicle
Air-con which was de-gased when I purchased the vehicle for the compressor was
seized. You could re-instate it if you wished
for I still have the vehicle parts but it would cost quite a bit unless you
know an Air-Con Mech. I have started to
remove the insulation between the bulkhead and the rear but stopped for my idea
might not be someone’s else’s idea. It is only 3/4inch plywood left as you can
see from the front interior pictures and I will include my jigsaw in the sale
so options are endless.
I will also include a
side window for the idea was to convert it to a camper. It is relatively easy
job to do on these vans for the panel just pops out as it is already on a seal.
You will also have to cut the insulation out but again you might want port
holes, etc. It’s up to you. The window
does also come with a seal.
Now with regards to
roadworthy, I have looked over the vehicle as follows and this is all my
opinion and in no way forms any sort of contract, so please take it as you
please. It is also no substitute for not viewing the vehicle yourself:
Lights – All lights work as they should with no
cracked lens, naked white light, etc so should be all good.
В·
Other electrics – Horn, heater fan, etc work ok but no
hot air from heater at the moment for it’s been bi-passed but will try and sort
that out if I can get a heater matrix but as the fan works you could get away
with it for roadworthy.
В·
Windscreen – Looks ok and should pass but windscreens
are always a funny one.

В·
Brakes – Front and rear brakes are not worn so should
be ok but apart from my mark one eyeball and size 9 foot, I have no other means
to test so there should be no surprises and maybe some adjustment. Brake pipes
and hoses all look ok but another pair of eyes might find something but should
be ok.
В·
Steering and suspension – No bumps or knocks with
positive feel from the steering so should be ok but depends on the person doing
the inspection. Steering wheel all good.
В·
Tyres, they are all good and should pass.
В·
Bodywork – Really good for its age so should pass. No
rusty holes, etc.
В·
Seatbelts – All good and work as they should so should
pass. Note I’ve changed the middle seat for a console so should be ok. The seat
belt is still there which works fine in case you want to put a third seat back
in if you can find one.
В·
Wipers – The front work ok but you may want to change
them anyway.
В·
Exhaust – has a slight leak from a flexi joint which
is border line but an easy repair.
·Other – I don’t
think there is anything else that it would fail on; i.e. bits hanging off, etc but
I may have missed something for I am only human..
So I think that’s about
it with the only main issue at the moment being the heater matrix. It has been
bypassed so that the vehicle can drive ok.
Now I have just lowered
the price to make this a real bargain for someone who I hope will enjoy what it
is and allows some funds to get the Roadworthy done, etc.
Lastly, the van is advertised by other means and so I reserve the right to end the auction early.
On 25-Feb-19 at 20:39:15 AEDST, seller added the following information:Just confirming its a five speed manual gearbox and the vehicle does come with the owners handbook. The box in the rear of the van contains all the old vehicle Air Con parts which you're welcome to have or I'll get rid of it.
