Used 2000 Ford Cougar

Seller Description

Spruce Green (looks grey to me) Ford Cougar 2 door
hatchback built 7/2000 with 201,000 on odometer, V6 FWD ULP fuel automatic with
no rego or number plates.
The good:
In the last 3 years it had 2 newish tires, new battery,
new power steering motor, new transmission sensor, new front lower control
arms, 2 new engine mounts and was detailed. Had a new alternator in 2010, had
all major services up till 185k stamped in the book. Comes with leather bound
logbook, service manual and CD, and factory floor mats. This is a very original
car, with pretty low kms and receipts of much money spent. It has power windows
and mirrors, cruise, was nice to drive and was a real head turner!
The bad:
It will need some work for blue slip. The ABS warning
light stays on. It needs a new fuel pump but you could drive it fine when it
was above half full. The p/s door handle is cracked and the central locking
plays up. The central locking doesn’t work very often, but it has 2 keys. The
body has a few battle scars. Window tint has been removed from door windows,
but is bubbling on the rest.

Centre console a bit scratched but dash is good.
Needs a full service and A/C needs regassing. D/S seat is a bit torn and
sunken, and stereo drops in and out.
The ugly:
It has been sitting for over a year now because it broke
down on the highway one day. Nobody has been able to tell me why or been able
to diagnose it. As far as I know the engine won’t even turn over. Probably
needs a new motor but if you know your stuff you might be able to fix it. I’m
told Mazda MPV motors are interchangeable with some small modifications.
This car would
be good for an autoelectrician or mechanic to fix and use or flip, you could
even part it out to make your money back, as it has a lot of new and good
parts. I just don’t have the time, money, space or patience for it anymore,
I’ve already spent too much so my loss could be your gain!
