Seller Description

I am reluctantly selling my 2000 Jeep Cherokee XJ Sport. Too many Jeeps, not enough time & money. I bought it to rebuild (and because good quality XJs are getting hard to come by) and spent the last 2 years rebuilding or replacing just about everything.
The good:
- Rust free. The rockers, corners, doors, everything is solid. Not many XJs around like that.
- New 2.5" suspension system by Rough Country
- New 31" BFGoodrich All-Terrain KO2 tires on black 15" Moab wheels
- New heavy duty Rough Country adjustable front track bar
- New heavy duty Rough Country front sway bar disconnects and new sway bar bushings
- New heavy duty steering drag link and and tie rod (Grand Cherokee/ZJ upgrade) with greasable rod ends
- New 4.10 differential gears and a Detroit TrueTrac limited slip in the rear differential
- New front chromoly axle shafts with new 1310 u-joints
- New front wheel hub and bearing assemblies
- New front axle tube seals
- Rebuilt transfer case with a slip yoke eliminator kit
- Transmission flushed and new filter and gasket
- New CV rear driveshaft, new front driveshaft
- New rear main seal, oil pan gasket, valve cover gasket, and oil filter gasket. No leaks of any kind. Not many XJs around like that either.
- All new ignition components (spark plugs, coil pack, 4 hole fuel injector upgrade)
- All new HVAC system, including the dreaded heater core replacement (a $3k job alone), A/C compressor, A/C evaporator, A/C accumulator, and all lines/hoses. She blows ice cold and toasty warm.
- New H4 headlights and direct-to-battery wiring harness (50% more powerful than stock and DOT approved)
- Totally refurbished rare tan interior (new carpet over Dynamat sound deadening/insulation, refurbished trim with SEM products, all LED lighting, top of the line Coverking ballistic seat covers, custom fit Weathertech floor and cargo liners)
- New windshield
- The stereo and all speakers work. I even have a tape deck adapter so you can plug in your phone. Or if you're like me and still have some of your high school mix tapes, even better.- Clean CarFax history, no accidents
The not-so-good:
- The last piece of this restoration puzzle for me was to fix the handful of dents and scratches that are typical on a 20 year old Jeep and lay down a new 2-stage paint job. I have too many projects right now so this hasn't been done. The paint isn't terrible, just faded in places and the previous owner did black on the hood and roof I think to imitate the new Cherokees.- There's a repair on the right rear lower corner done by the previous owner that's a bit rough but it's sealed with rust preventer and completely hidden by the bumper cap.
- The driver's side power window regulator doesn't shut off when the window is all the way up, so it makes a grinding noise if you hold it down. Easy to replace, just doesn't bother me. All four power windows work though.
- The remote key fob doesn't work, might just be the battery, doesn't bother me so I haven't tested it at a parts store.
- The driver's side door control unit only sometimes locks all the doors. All other functions work. Easily replaced, just doesn't bother me.
- If it sits for more than a couple of weeks the fuel system will depressurize a bit. All you have to do then though is turn the key to on for about 3 seconds before starting to let the fuel pump re-pressurize the system.

This is a great Colorado adventure Jeep. I haven't really offroaded it other than fire road type of trails to get out to camping spots and 14ers. Fully restored XJs are going for $25k+ these days (check out davisautosports.com). Clean title in hand.
