This is my 2001 Buell X1 Lightning that I bought new in 2001 at Southeast Harley Davidson in Cleveland, Ohio. It has about 4350+ miles on it (I am still riding it). I had it stored for quite a few years because atthe time my job as a heavy equipment field mechanic got so busy I had no time to ride. Now retired, I got it out and went through it and started riding it again.

A couple weeks ago I removed the stock plastic airbox and left side plastic. I installed a new Hammer Performance air cleaner assembly and vented the engine directly to avoid swarf in the air cleaner. The sale will include the stock plastic pieces including the belly fairing, extra key and owner's manual. Years ago I cut the OEM muffler open and removed the flow reversal pipe. I mig weldedthe muffler back together and repainted it with VHT black paint. I hate to sell this rare collectors bike but I have too many bikes and too small agarage.-----NOTE: The last two pictures show the bike with factory plastic side panels, but not the belly fairing ( included).
