Seller Description

This was the first real naked Superbike. Sure, there were Monsters and
Speed Triples, but this was the first time anyone put a full-on
Superbike engine in an upright bike. 998cc, 138 HP, 75 Ft-lbs Torque.-
No bullshit "tuned for street use". This was the Aprilia RSV Superbike
with the fairing off and handlebars instead of clipons - that's pretty
much it. This thing is a beast - eats Monsters for lunch. Not really for
novice riders. This was before traction control and ABS. This thing
will spit you off if you don't know what you are doing.
I have had this bike for almost 10 years - second owner, and it has been
dead reliable. The only things I have done are routine maintenance -
fluids, filters, tires, chain, etc. The engines for these bikes were
made by Rotax and are pretty much bulletproof.
Tires are Michelin Pilot Power 3, with lots of tread. Never crashed,
but fallen over on trailer once, hence very slight dings on cans.
Couple of tasteful mods:
Aprilia racing twin pipes with eprom chip
Handlebar guards (keep fingers warm)
Heated grips
Aftermarket rearsets (have originals)
Aftermarket adjustable brake and clutch levers
Crash bobbins on axles, frame)
Electric outlet on dash (for whatever you want to run or charge)
Zero Gravity smoked windscreen - slightly taller than stock (have stock)
Bike is all-day comfortable. I have toured on it for weekend trips with
soft bags, which I will include.

Or take it to the track. Whatever
you do, you will have a huge, shit-eating grin on your face when you get
off.
Reason for selling is that I have 3 other bikes, with a new Aprilia on
the way, so it is just not getting the attention it deserves...
