For auction with NO RESERVE is my 2004 BMW M3 Convertible. This car is in excellent running condition, and it comes complete with the highly desirable 6 Speed Manual Transmission as well as the removable matching hard top.
I purchased this car six months ago when I moved to CA. I needed a temporary car while selling my Porsche in the Midwest and finding another 911 in CA. I wish I could keep this car as well, but I simply don’t have space. I have put approximately 5K miles on it in six months, using it as my daily driver. It has started and run flawlessly every time and has never left me stranded. It does not leak or burn significant oil, and it has no known mechanical issues or warning lights.
The paint and interior are in nice shape for the age and mileage. There is some minor paint fade on the deck lid and the bumpers show some minor chips and scrapes. This is not a show car, please refer to the photos.
The rear subframe is in great shape, the clutch was replaced by a previous owner and does not show any signs of wear, and the car needs nothing to start and go. There are a few small things that require attention if you choose:
The Convertible soft top is in nice shape, but I believe one of the plastic gears is stripped. It can be put up and down manually, but I just leave it down and put the hard top on if a roof is needed.
The driver’s forward/back movement is not working. I bought it this way and it suits my height (6’0”), so I did not address it.
I installed a new M3 steering wheel, as well as a new center console and cup holders, which look awesome. After reinstalling the steering wheel, I did get an airbag light which is still on. The air bag recall issue has been addressed by BMW and I have receipts.
The windshield washer fluid bottle has a leak and the left front tire has a VERY slow leak that I have not diagnosed. I will try to address this soon. The tires and brakes are not new, but in good shape with lots of life left.
Lastly, the front bumper is secured, but has seen better days. The new owner may want to fix some of the factory attachments or replace, but it has not bothered me.
