Seller Description

I cannot believe I am writing this description. I thought I would own this Sprinter forever.

I put my heart and soul into this build. But unfortunately we are losing our indoor storage for it at my friends property. I cannot park it at my house, as there is no room and I refuse to pay to store a vehicle I only use 3 times a year, so I guess it has to go.
A little story about the conversion. I bought this van in 2013 as a passenger van. I removed the three rows of seats and sold them. I then brought it to my shop www.moabaz.com we build off-road camping trailers. I had my guys build a rear dinette out of aluminum angle and had custom cushions made for it. We then cut a hole in the side and installed a custom made door for it. We bought a Camp Chef 3-burner stove at Costco and mounted it to 500 pound locking slides for outdoor cooking. (I hate cooking indoors)
I mounted a propane tank under the van, although I have had an issue with it. I think it needs a new valve. I mounted a deep cycle coach battery under the van behind the rear axle. Then we mounted a custom made jack-knife sofa that makes into a bed, and had captains chairs made for the front seats. We also mounted a flip down TV to the ceiling with a DVD player. We then had U-haul mount a trailer hitch to it with both 7-pin and 4-pin connectors. After using it for a couple years we finally got around to finishing the trim.
I had hired a master carpenter, who ended up finishing the inside, and has now done 4 other Sprinters in our shop. He made the upper cabinets, trimmed the windows, mounted shades, trimmed out the fridge we mounted (we have not hooked the fridge up yet. My plan was to install a solar panel, but have not done it yet). He installed a wood-looking vinyl floor and built a stowage box opposite the couch. He mounted LED lights under the cabinets.
There is also LED colored rope lights in the ceiling around the AC vents. I bought VW Toureg wheels and installed Highway Grappler 10-ply heavy duty tires to them. The windows were tinted and wood grain dash kit installed.
That is it for the conversion, now for the perfect running vehicle that has never let me down. I bought it with 142,000 miles and have put about 35,000 miles on it in 6 years. It runs perfect! It has plenty of power and accelerates quick. I bought this van because it is the best year. The newest van you can get with the bullet-proof 5-cylinder turbo diesel motor. If you have done your research you will know that your only sacrifice with buying this model is the body style is dated a bit. But if you are looking for a capable van that will go a half million miles, this is the one. If I ever get the chance to own another one some day I will not buy one newer than 2006.
The only repair I ever did was to the rear heater. Nothing else ever happens to this thing. It seems to run forever. If you are bidding and live in the Northeast, 3000 miles away, know that I would not hesitate to hop in this thing and drive it there, and back! The tires have a ton of life left on them, the brakes are good and it gets about 24 miles to the gallon. It can get 28 if you keep it under 55 mph. 24 if you keep it around 60-65 and 22 mpgs if you keep it around 70-75. I pulled my boat with it a few times and got about 17 mpg.
It is the tallest (9'3") and longest (21') Sprinter of that body style. the front and rear A/C is ice cold. And both heaters work great.
If you have any questions about this van call me anytime at 480 two three five 5557. I have tried to explain everything I could. And am being perfectly honest about it's history and condition. I can arrange shipping for you if you want it delivered.
