2009 Ducati Monster I bought in 2015 with only 209 miles on it. A soldier purchased it, was deployed to Afghanistan, and it sat in his garage for years.
I paid $9,800 for the bike and have put another $20,000 into it. I never meant to sell my Ducati, but I'm moving to salty Long Beach, I have no garage there, and that weather destroyed my friend's bike.
Countless new parts!
Custom, CNC milled aluminum rear sets, forward and rear black aluminum brake fluid reservoirs, and clutch reservoir. Custom black aluminum triple clamps, handlebar, brake and clutch levers, and bar end mirrors. 3 in one custom rear brake light that incorporates blinkers into it. Small, bullet front blinkers to replace large stock ones. Custom adjustable black kickstand. Professionally painted wheels (the originals on a 2009 were grey). New heavy duty clutch plates, springs, and open window clutch cover. Anodized black rear sprocket flange. High strength stainless steel braided brake lines. E3 plugs, K&N air filter, matte black back seat cover, Competition Werkes exhaust, new Yuasa battery, rubber frame slider kit, new Pirelli tires (way better in the rain), quick release black aluminum fuel tank cap, and probably more I don't remember.
The pexiglass on the front instrument panel cracked (this bike is really torque heavy) and I replaced it.

Unfortunately, you can't just replace the glass, you have to spend $1,000 replacing the whole instrument panel. Which I did. So the bike says it has 500 miles on it but it's really 17,000.
It's been regularly maintained, with three full services so far. One at 500 miles, one at 6,000, and one at 12,000. I change the oil even more frequently than that, and always use Motul synthetic. Always garaged in the winter.
