This bike has been SO GOOD to me!! The ride is incredibly smooth, especially since I took off the California-required emissions gear. There are 21,000 miles on it and I'd say 80% of that was nice, easy highway miles. I have also kept the bike indoors for 95% of the time I've owned it.
Maintenance: I have kept the bike EXTREMELY well-maintained. Oil changes every 2,000-3,000 miles and regular tune-ups.
